John Greene is currently Vice President of Congressional Affairs at the National Association of Health Underwriters and has been their lobbyist since September 2000. He is a member of NAHU’s Medicare Work Group and has worked on every major piece of health care legislation from TAA to the PPACA. In 2005, he spearheaded legislation which expanded a program for long-term care insurance policies to all states as part of the 2005 Deficit Reduction Act. He was a member of the Senate mental health parity negotiating team which led to enactment in 2008.
Ken Peterson is the Regional VP with BENISTAR Admin Services, Inc. and specializes in Retiree Medical, EGWP/Part D Rx carve-out plans and providing benefits consulting and administrative services to ERISA Plans, Corporations, Municipalities, Universities, and Taft Hartley Plans. Ken has experience customizing group retiree plans, managing national programs, product development, and maintenance of Retiree Benefit Trusts. Since the advent of Medicare Part D, Mr. Peterson and Benistar had a particular focus in creating group Retiree Rx solutions that will maximize government subsidy while maintaining complete flexibility in plan design for employers. He has held positions ranging from Account Executive to Retiree Benefits Consultant.
Brian Doherty is the author of the award-winning book, Getting Paid to Wait, the creator of the Paid to Wait Social Security Calculator and a national speaker on the topic of Social Security. Formerly he was President and CEO of Key Investments and also National Sales Manager for New York Life’s Retirement Income Security Division. With over 30 years experience in the Financial Services Industry, Brian has trained thousands of financial professionals on Social Security claiming strategies and advised hundreds of retirees.
