Happy Holidays!

A Message from CAHU President Mike Staebler

Dear CAHU Members and Friends,

As 2020 draws to a close, and we reflect on the past 12 months, it is important to thank you for your continued support and dedication to the Columbus Association of Health Underwriters (CAHU). Although 2020 was a year that no one could have predicted, we hope this message finds you well and that your business is continuing to thrive.

As we look towards 2021, we have some exciting events planned; both in person and virtual. We plan to kick off the year with a virtual presentation on February 11th that will be held over lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition, we have also scheduled virtual presentations on March 11th and April 8th, also from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Although we had planned to hold our Annual Expo on March 9th, after much discussion, the CAHU Board of Directors decided to postpone this event until later in the year when we can hopefully meet in person. If you are like most of us, 2020 has proved to be a year full of virtual meetings, and although the first half of 2021 will likely remain as a virtual world, we are hopeful that by June or July, we will be able to meet in person. Therefore, we have tentatively scheduled our Annual Expo to be held sometime in June or July at an outdoor venue that will include both educational sessions and music. We feel that a celebration of sorts will be needed after being isolated from so many during the past year.

In addition to our virtual presentations in early 2021 and our Annual Expo in Summer 2021, we are also planning to hold our Annual Medicare Summit in September 2021, as well as other in person events in late 2021 to allow us to get back to networking with one another. We are looking forward to an amazing year ahead and hope to see you next Summer at our Annual Expo, if not before.

On behalf of the CAHU Board of Directors, we hope that you are able to find some peace and happiness during this holiday season. Please continue to stay safe and well, and raise a glass on New Year’s Eve to ring in a year full of new possibilities!
